アメリカの大統領選ーその四(ニュースを縦読み)

「“They let — I think the real number is 15, 16 million people into our country. When they do that, we got a lot of work to do. They’re poisoning the blood of our country,” Trump told the crowd at a rally in New Hampshire. “That’s what they’ve done. They poison mental institutions and prisons all over the world, not just in South America, not just to three or four countries that we think about, but all over the world. They’re coming into our country from Africa, from Asia, all over the world.”」

「His key fund has spent nearly all of the more than $150 million it raised and is sitting on less than $4 million, according to the latest numbers available. He has already dug into his fund for 2024 ads and borrowed money to post bail in Georgia. And some of his allies are begging for donations, saying he won’t pony up.」

「Today, Trump's attacks on the surface state are accelerating. He's going after prosecutors, judges, grand juries, and state officials — anyone who suggests that normal due process move forward to determine his criminal responsibility for any of the above. He's called Special Counsel Jack Smith a "thug" and a "terrorist," while referring to Smith's wife as a "Trump Hater." Trump has also posted attacks and false allegations about Fanni Wills, the Fulton County district attorney. Since these attacks, she has reported receiving racist threats by email and phone」

「But Golf.com exposed his sleight-of-swing trickery back in 2019, when it revealed, in part: "To say "Donald Trump cheats" is like saying "Michael Phelps swims." He cheats at the highest level. He cheats when people are watching, and he cheats when they aren't. He cheats whether you like it or not. He cheats because that's how he plays golf, that's how he learned it, that's how he needs it, and whether you're his pharmacist or Tiger Woods, if you're playing golf with him, he's going to cheat." End of story.」

Social norms—not laws—are the underlying fabric of democracy. The Georgia indictment against Donald Trump is the last tool remaining to repair that which he’s torn apart.

Ellis worked with Trump's 2020 campaign on its efforts after the 2020 presidential election. Ellis has protested harassment from Trump allies who have attacked her for not supporting his 2024 presidential bid.
Ellis allegedly “solicited, requested, and importuned” Pennsylvania legislators present at a meeting to unlawfully appoint presidential electors from the state, according to the indictment. She also allegedly made false election fraud statements.

随分ふくよかになった気がしますが。

「The prosecutor cited an all-caps threat that Trump posted earlier in the day on Truth Social: "IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU."」

「Trump could make his campaign slogan 'I Do Crimes and Make All the Men Cry Because All the Men Are Wearing Your Wife's Underpants' and he would still be the next Republican nominee for president.」

「Donald Trump’s ‘Horrifying News’
Trump target 2020
•The Atlantic / by David A. Graham / July 19, 2023 at 01:09AM
Though Donald Trump has sometimes been called “Teflon Don”—a label that connects not just to his own name but to his modus operandi—the truth is not that he has escaped consequences for everything, just his most egregious behavior. He has lost defamation cases, his company got dinged for tax evasion, and he has been charged with byzantine business crimes. But his biggest sins—especially trying to steal the 2020 presidential election—have gone unpunished.
That pattern could break soon. Trump issued a statement this morning saying that he received a “target letter” from Special Counsel Jack Smith of the Justice Department Sunday night. He said Smith gave him four days to report to a grand jury investigating Trump’s attempts to subvert the 2020 election and the January 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol. Such letters are usually a prelude to an indictment.」

「Last week, at a dinner event in Manhattan, the Democratic primary candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. shared his unvarnished thoughts about the nature of the coronavirus. “There’s an argument that it is ethnically targeted,” he explained, in remarks captured on video. “COVID-19 is targeted to attack Caucasians and Black people. The people who are most immune are Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese.” To be sure, Kennedy added, “we don’t know whether it was deliberately targeted or not.” In other words, Kennedy apparently believes it is an open question whether the pandemic was engineered by a shadowy cabal to spare Chinese and Jewish people.」

「DeSantis' latest numbers, according to The Hill, show him struggling right with the rest of the stragglers, at only 16% to Ramaswamy's 10%. Meanwhile, Trump gallops ahead at 49%.」茶番劇はまた始まった。

「Before people-hater Donald Trump conned Republicans into believing he was the Second Coming, he praised the hell out of Hillary and Bill Clinton. In fact, he ladled more flattery over the Clintons prior to his stint as MAGA god than he ever has even for his own spawn.

From "great senator" and "great wife" to "wonderful woman" and "very nice person," Hillary was painted as a woman who could do no wrong in 2008 by then "Democrat" Trump. And as for Bill, well, anyone who cut that "great president" down was simply "jealous."」

「Republican support for former President Donald Trump in the classified documents case against him is not unanimous.
A small but steady group says Trump should never have removed classified documents from the White House, the trigger for Trump's federal indictment in Florida earlier this month.
... ...
Many of the Republican candidates running against Trump for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination have also decried his alleged mishandling of classified documents, though some have questioned whether the government should have brought a federal case over the matter.
Trump's Republican critics have accused the former president of acting selfishly and like he was still president.」

「Whether they plan to act on it or not, in the view of the most steadfast, violent Trump supporters, the “coup” actually began with James Comey, with Robert Mueller, with Adam Schiff. It now steams forward under the lawless powers of the prosecutors currently pursuing Trump—Alvin Bragg, Fani Willis, Jack Smith. These villains are “weaponizing”—to use the preferred nomenclature—the power of law enforcement and the justice system to persecute Donald Trump. For them, all bets are off. The promise of violence shimmers in the air.」

「The ad then cuts to a montage of the former game show during his stunt as a twice-impeached president, with soundbites such as, "I'm going to enforce all laws concerning the protection of classified information!" and "We can't have someone in the oval office who doesn't understand the meaning of the word 'confidential' or 'classified!'" Yep, you got that right, straight from the horse's ass.」

(6/13)Trump struggles to find an attorney willing to beclown themselves。「Due in court, facing criminal charges, Donald J. Trump seems to have exhausted the supply of attorneys willing to represent him. Perhaps it is his reputation for failing to pay contractors. Maybe it is his demonstrated history of ignoring legal advice. Could it just be the thought defending someone who so clearly denies that mountains of evidence laid out in front of him exist seems to be impossible?
Probably all of the above plus dozens of other reasons.」

「According to the indictment, one document dealt with an intelligence briefing about the nuclear capabilities of foreign countries. Others dealt with U.S. and allied military capabilities as well as their vulnerabilities to foreign military attacks. Some dealt with military operations. And a lot of them were classified at a very high level.」
「Let us review the facts that were made public nearly a year ago—but may have been widely forgotten. The affidavit filed by the Justice Department last August noted that in early 2022, the FBI retrieved 15 boxes of documents, that 22 documents were classified top-secret, and that some of those (the number was unspecified) contained even more sensitive markings, including HCS, SCI, FISA, ORCA, and NOFORN.
These obscure acronyms suggest that Trump is in very deep trouble, and it’s completely self-inflicted.
HCS means “HUMINT Control System,” and HUMINT means “human intelligence”—i.e., intelligence gathered by human spies. These documents may contain the identities of spies as well as the information they supplied.
FISA means information processed through the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act’s special court. This would include intercepts of foreign governments’ communications.」
FISAはつまり、ズハリ、盗聴ですね。しかも、他の国の政府の通信・通話です。
ORCON stands for “originator controlled,” meaning that dissemination—even within the government, even to officials cleared for top-secret—must first be approved by the originator (e.g., the CIA, if the document was created by CIA). In other words, Trump couldn’t have declassified these papers, even if he had wanted to.
NOFORN means the document cannot be shared with foreign governments or citizens, not even with allies.
In other words, some of these documents—as an official familiar with them told the Washington Post at the time—ranked “among the most sensitive secrets we hold.”」
「It is worth recalling that, during the 2016 campaign, Trump railed against Clinton’s carelessness with secrets. It galvanized the war cry at that year’s Republican National Convention: “Lock her up!” It also drove him, early on in his presidency, to upgrade at least one law against improper handling of secret information from misdemeanor to felony—karma indeed!
If Trump is found guilty on all counts, he could be imprisoned for up to 100 years and fined $1.75 million.」
